Weekend In New Jersey

Weekend In New Jersey Weekend In New Jersey Weekend In New Jersey
7 May 2015

After The Baseball Project wraps up business tonight at the hallowed Garcia's in Port Chester NY, we'll be dragging the Minus 5 into the fray, first with a semi-last minute warm-up set at legendary The Saint in Asbury Park on Friday May 8, and then a big twin bill at Monty Hall in Jersey City on Saturday May 9.  You'll see Scott McCaughey, Steve Wynn, Linda Pitmon, and Josh Kantor all doing double duty (like Leroy Radcliffe) from the BBP, with the Split Squad's Mike Giblin rushing in from Harrisburg to round out the quintet.

If you haven't gathered yet, Monty Hall is a newish performance space at the hallowed WFMU radio complex, and we can't wait to see it.  Steve Wynn & The Miracle 3 will start off the evening at 9:15 p.m. EST with that patented 'visceral, cathartic sonic blast' and it's all going to be broadcast LIVE on wfmu.org so stream it like you mean it. The Minus 5 will then try super hard to play an obscenity-free baker's dozen of popular classics, including a healthy dollop of tunes from Dungeon Golds.  Then we disappear into the night, not to be seen again until Friday May 15 in Harrisburg, though hopefully some of you will be eyeing the Baseball Project tour schedule and coming to harass us in the meantime.  We LOVE being harassed.  And mocked.  And demonized.  But only in the nicest way.
